Hey Girl!!! I've been trying to find our thread and couldn't find it. Man, I'm experiencing that blank thing now!! Swell!!! How did your doctor's appointment go? That's what I want to ask you!!! If you're still up, please let me know. Okay? Also, let me know how you're feeling today with your quit. You're doing sooooo good. Hey Girl, I saw how expensive Chantix is on one post. Someone posted the price but I can't remember who it was now. I can't take it anyway but I sure was hoping you would be able to. Terri, this isn't just you. I think we're getting that 30 day slump a little early. What do you think? Oh, I hope we are and won't get smacked around like this again at the 30 day mark. Ugh!! Today, I'm having horrible cravings again. I had a couple of good days there and then, Bam!!! cravings again for the last two days. I have a question, when is there NOT a slump? ha ha ha ha ha Let's see, we have hell week, heck week, blah week, and then that 30 day slump. ha ha ha ha Are you seeing the pattern? It looks.....Well, CONSTANT!!! :8o: HA HA Man, I have to laugh or I'll cry. I think I'm going to lay down and try to sleep through some of these cravings. I'm so glad your chest x-ray turned out good. Let me know as soon as you find out why you're swelling. When you get your fluid pills, do NOT take them when you're ready to go to sleep. Not a good time. Hang in there, okay? You're doing wonderful. Look at us, we're getting closer and closer to that month mark. Wow!! Hey Porky, Any news yet? Let me know, okay? Well, how are you doing? ha ha ha ha God, are we having fun yet? I hope you're doing better than you were. Girl, you sure deserve a break now. Me, I was doing much better but all of a sudden I slid backwards again. I started having cravings but worse than that, I started feeling so tired, drained, sleepy, irritable, and really sad. I caught Changing's post under another forum and she's doing the same thing. The three of us are so close together on our Quit Dates and we smoked about the same amount. Oh yea, and I'm either super sleepy where I can't keep my eyes open or I can't go to sleep at all. Tonight, I can't go to sleep at all. Crap. Did you start the Chantix yet? Let me know if helps you, okay? I can't take anything like that because I'm diabetic. Let me know how you're doing. Stay Strong!!! I was wondering about the prices. Here in Texas, the generics were 2.79 plus tax. The name brands were 3.35 plus tax. After the New Year, generics went up to 3.59 and name brands went to 4.45 plus tax. I smoked cheap cigarettes. I couldn't bring myself to pay for name brands. Even after the New Year, I found this All Natural brand that tasted like crap. ha ha ha That brand, I think they were called Skywalkers, were still 2.79 plus tax so that's the most I've ever paid. I smoked about two and half packs most of the time and sometimes three packs. I just cut it in the middle and settled on 50 cigarettes a day at 2.79. Shoot, I should have added tax to that. ha ha ha ha ha I'll do that after I post this. You know I'll be here for you. Always. If you need me more on those rainy days, I'll be right here. Hey Terri, we must be right in sink with each other. I started feeling better this evening too. Now you won't believe this.....After craving like a mad dog and singing the blues, heart and soul, I mentioned to husband that I really need something else for this "hand to mouth" thing. You know, just to stay busy. I'm so tired of all the stuff I've been chowing down on for the last 9 days. Anyway, my husband misunderstood because he was HALF listening to me and thought I said that I want a pack of smokes. Now you really won't believe this one.....He had another stash pack here, in case I got far too grumpy to live with, and had it hid in my roll top desk. He was also stashing the pack back in case I caved in. I rarely use the desk and it's a good thing because I would have found that pack during my weakest point. He didn't buy the pack but there's this lady that he runs into at local store when he stops to fill up his rig with gas. This lady buys a whole pack of cigarettes, takes only three of them out of the pack, and gives the rest to Steve to give to me so that she won't smoke anymore than those three. Well, that's the pack he had stashed. He told me that he stashed that pack when I was on Day 2 of my quit!! So, when he misunderstood me tonight, he thought I was asking him to run down to the store to buy me a pack of smokes. So he walks over to the roll top desk, gets that pack of smokes, and tosses them to me. Girl, I was mad and shocked. I bellowed, "What the hell are you trying to do, blow my quit? I'm NOT a smoker. Don't you EVER bring cigarettes into this house again." I was furious and my husband was in shock because as I bellowed at him, I stormed over to him with those smokes, twisted them up in my hands, breaking them all to pieces, and handed 'em back to him. Wow!! Where did that come from?!! After all the belly aching and craving and belly aching more, I blew a gasket that my husband didn't have enough confidence in my quit to NOT bring those cigarettes home. My husband had this shocked look on his face but he was smiling at the same time because he wants me to quit so bad, he just didn't think I would with as much as I smoked. He had this look on his face as if to say, "Damn, she really means it this time." Then I had to exp

Hey Terri, How are you doing today? I'm working and reading a whole bunch of posts. Thank God we have a home based business or I'd be fired for being on the Internet so much. ha ha Last night, I felt better. Today, I'm not as good but not too bad. I'm starting to feel like a yo-yo. Let me know how you're doing when you get a chance, okay? Hang in there. Hi Changing, I'm so glad you did post about the red hots. I have drove down and bought the Dentyne Fire Mints and they really do work well. I'm going to run to Wal-Mart and get more cinnamon flavored things, like gum, red hots, and HOT TAMALES. Remember those? ha ha ha I'd love to find sugar free Bit-O-Honey. ha ha ha You can't get your jaws open enough to put a smoke in there if you had to. Hang In There and Stay Strong!! Hey Porky, I'm so sorry that you're in so much pain and are depressed. I wish I could take it off of you for a while and give you a break. Just 8 more days and I just know you're going to get some good news from your doctor. Keep hanging in there and I will too. I'll hold you up for a while and then you can hold me up for a while. We'll get through this....I know we will. Do you think you slept too much from your meds? I imagine you're super tired because you have to lay around so much. That alone will wear you out. Keep reminding yourself that your body is healing from your surgery and from quitting the smokes. I know, you're ready for this to be over with like YESTERDAY!! But try to accept that you're on the mend here. And keep talking to me and everyone else. I read a post earlier where a gal who goes by Changing, posted that cinnamon gum, mints, or red hots help with craves. I have so many flavors of mints, gums, and hard candy but didn't have cinnamon. So, I ran and bought me two packages of Dentyne Fire Mints and you know, they really do help out a lot. I don't know what the deal is or if I'm imagining it but they're helping me. Can you get some to have on hand or do I need to bring you some? ha ha ha ha ha I don't know what Phil means by the Tuesday thing. I believe it's a joke but you and I came in late and missed the punch line. I hope you get to feeling better. Hang in there....I know you can do this and I'm here when you want or need to talk. One More Day Is Almost Behind Us!!! Stay Strong! Did you see that post where one of the support people said that some services would be down all weekend. I know one of 'em. ha ha ha I'm still not getting a notification sent to my email address whenever you add a new post to this thread. (Which seems to be our own personal thread now.) ha ha ha ha Did we run everyone off? Sure with they'd all jump in too and offer some advice about our miserable days. ha ha ha I'm so sorry that you were kept awake by those nasty demons. The little sh**s!! ha ha ha It IS SO miserable when you can't sleep at night, you're bored, and having one crave right behind another. In the middle of the night, there's not a whole lot to do keep yourself occupied and especially when you're laid up. We'll have to really think on that one. Now I woke up in a good mood this morning. Yesterday I really reminded myself of a serial killer. ha ha I was in a good mood this morning and within 10 minutes time, cravings started. I noticed that as soon as those cravings came, I got ticked off, aggravated and frustrated right off the bat. I think that's my problem and it may be yours too. I mean, I'm wondering if we're fight AGAINST those cravings and putting them on a time clock to end. Like giving them a deadline to leave us a lone. I'm thinking that we both need to accept that this is part of our Quit. Like I have to take insulin everyday and eat right for my diabetes. It's a process that I have to go through day after day that I've had to adjust to. And you, you're having to lay up in bed and only walk or sit for 15 minutes at a time each day. That's a process of healing for you to go through and, I know it's miserable, but I think you've accepted that you have to do that to heal. But I don't think either one of us has accepted that the cravings are going to come, the mood swings, and all of that now that we're Non Smokers. I'm wondering if we're both fighting against it as if we're trying to swim up stream. We're not going with the flow. This is just a though so you let me know what you think, okay? I'm wondering if we should say, "Okay, another crave...big deal. I'm healing and this is part of it." Treat it like a healing process just like we would any other type of recovery and accept that it's going to
