Thank you Bonnie!! My hubby and I were talking about those "things" we as smokers always had to do or worry about or think about, just last night. I think I'll print out your post and share it with him tonight and add those things to our list of things we are SO grateful and glad we don't have to do anymore!

Paula you are doing SUCH A FANTASTIC JOB!!!!! Just keep pushing on through!! I have been reminding myself that I get to be free today, I don't have to smoke anymore! I remind myself that it is a choice. My hubby and I rambled on and on last night about all of the things we don't have to worry about anymore since we quit like...
waiting for the coffee to finish making so we can grab it and run out to smoke
where are my cigarettes? I can't find them!
Shoot, I ran out last night.
Honey will YOU go to the store? (usually ANGRY whilst he goes, even though it was ME talking him into it. lol!)
I can't find the lighter
...spend 5-10 minutes looking ALL OVER for it then finding it in the pocket of the clothes I am wearing
all within the first half hour of waking. Silly.
:) KEEP UP THE GREAT QUIT GIRL!!!!!

Welcome Rat!! I used the Chantix on a previous quit attempt, it did make me feel a little queasy also. I believe my downfall that time was a) my resolve to quit and b) I thought I was in the clear and stopped taking the pills about 8-11 days into my quit. (too early)
This time I am using the patch and so far so good, as far as not smoking. I have had some other side effects lately though that I believe is caused by the patch that I am using currently. I am on step 2 and am thinking about stepping down a little earlier than the instructions recommend. I have started taking it off before bed and like Mike/Astrofan, am getting a much better nights sleep now - but shortly after I put it on in the morning I get dizzy, slightly blurry vision and just feel generally crappy or sad-ish.
Keep posting here and KEEP UP THE GREAT QUIT!!!!!!! :)
