Bad Craving

Hi Freebird, It's good to let it all out amongst friends here, isn't it? I'm sure that it was this place that kept me sane at the beginning. Still does!! Stick with it Freebird, the cravings will get less with time! Hang on in there! Hope you're planning a nice little rewards when you reach the end of hell week. Go on, you deserve it. :) Hope you're already feeling a bit better. 60 Days!

Thanks everyone! 60 days feels like an age (sometimes feels like 6 months!!) - but one thing that is for sure, none of us can ever get too cheeky with thinking 'ah well, that's it, then'. I have suddenly become aware of sneeky little cravings coming in every now and again, maybe I'll have less positive thoughts here and there. We've gotta keep our guard and not give that Nicodemon an inch. I'm still in the fight! But - feeling strong!! Love to everyone, Deli My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 62 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 938 Amount Saved: 186 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 0 Mins: 51 Seconds: 24

What is normal?

Hi Pink, It was lovely to read this post today. Such a journey! Reminds me of myself a couple of weeks back. I think that as long as we are getting our windows of feeling 'normal' or positive on either side of the bad or difficult days - we are doing ok!! Sounds like you are doing very well. Giving up such a strong drug as nicotine, getting rid of it from our bodies, is not an easy thing. It will not happen overnight. But, as everyone here who has longer quits than us say, 'it will get better' - 'this is completely normal'. The gym, I think, is one of the best things you can do at this time. It is a physical and practical solution to the blues or irritation. I have to drag my sorry bottom there as often as I can - but, I do it because I know it makes the quit so much easier. I hope that you are feeling better today. I'm sure you will be feeling better soon, your attitude is very healthy and positive. Well done! Best wishes, Deli My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 59 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 889 Amount Saved: 177 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 18 Mins: 32 Seconds: 54

Help!!

Hi Jess, Day 2 is one of the most difficult days I experienced in a long while. It does get easier. Must be doubly difficult when you have the extra worry about your health. Well done on not smoking!
