May Company - Check In

I'm here too!! Can't come here as often as I'd like, but I will check in every few days or so. I'm so happy we have all made it this far, CONGRATS to all. What a journey it has been. Can't wait for the beach, see you all there. Keep a nice spot under the umbrellas open for me. Oh yeah, and a tall rum runner too!! Congrats fellow MAy Quitters!! Started again. This is so rough.

So sorry you are having such a tough time. Shake it off and get serious. Get mad and just don't smoke. You can do this, remind yourself how far you've come and how strong you are!! Reevaluate why you wanted this quit and then take control of your life again. You are not alone in how you feel, we all feel this way at different times in our quits, but you just have to be stronger than the demons in your head. Keep us posted and come here often so we can remind you how strong you are!! What Are Your Quit Names and Why Did You Choose Them?

I picked my name because I was so "determined to quit" this time and it was the first thing that came to my mind. I replied to a thread, and someone shortened it to D2Q, which I thought was cool. My real name is Carol. Stay strong - stay quit!! having a really hard time!!!

Hang in there. It ain't easy but you CAN do this. I too was angry at everyone because if they were smokers, I was jealous of them and if they were non smokers, they had no idea what hell I was going through. So pretty much I was angry at everyone including myself for being so weak. It does get easier!! Hang in there. Remember why you wanted to do this. Get tough and just know it will get easier and yes you will have bumps but you can get through those too. You are not alone, we have all been where you are and look how far we have all come!! Dont Quit too much!!

Hi Shaila. Yes it's true not to take on too much all at once. Sometimes if your smoke went hand and hand with your caffeine, you might want to cutback on the caffeine so your triggers are less. If you drank caffeine all day, maybe cut down to 2 a day. Also, if your caffeine was non diet soda, you will also cut out a lot of calories which will be huge for weight control during your quit. Good luck!! They try to sabotage!!

Guess what I received in the mail yesterday... ...a coupon for a free CARTON of cigarettes. Not a free pack, but a free CARTON. Can you beleive it?? In all my 26 years of smoking, I never got a free carton!! I use to use coupons for my brand and I think they must track them and saw I haven't been using any. Just goes to show us that we will always be tested and must never let our guard down!!
