Day One

welcome I too, am 46 and I have been smoking since college... This is day 2 for me... I just read Allen Carr's "The Little Book of Quitting" He has another "The Easy Way to Stop Smoking". I have not been able to get a copy of the second but he talks about not concentrating on the misery of not smoking, but to be excited and positive about being a non smoker.. YEA!! Good luck Breathe....Great Fresh Air My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/30/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 20 Amount Saved: $3.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 4 Mins: 54 Seconds: 56

Hi everybody

stef wow!!! 4 weeks! I am so impressed. Just my 3 day and that seems so far away. You off to a great start. Allen Carr's book has really helped me, too. NOPE works for me because that's how I lost my last quit. I thougt I could have one a day for about a week... which turned into a pack a day. Live and learn.. Day three

Chris How are things with you today?? This is my second quit in 12 months. I quit last summer for about 90 days. I could breathe, bike ride, and run.. For some reason I thought that i could have one cig a day for about a week. The next thing I knew... I was back to pack a day.. I am using the patch during the day and using PM drug for the evening and sleeping like a baby. this is the beginnin for day four and this quit has been much easier than the first. The cravings pass... good luck M My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/30/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 60 Amount Saved: $9.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 8 Mins: 30 Seconds: 5
