It's my understanding that this is a true story. It goes to show that we don't always understand the nature of the messages we receive.
An Airbus pilot flying at 35,000 feet receives a radio call from the control tower to turn to heading 315 for noise abatement. The message confused the pilot and although he didn't understand the reason he prepared to execute the turn then stopped. With an indignant tone he radioed the control tower, "Tower, what noise do you hope to avoid from a plane flying at 35,000 feet?" After a brief pause the tower controller replied, "Have you ever heard the noise when a 737 hits an Airbus?"
Sometimes the really important messages are disguised.

For over a year my wife would get upset with me because almost every time she did a load of wash she would hear a clankity clank in the dryer. It was my lighter of course. "Why can't you remember to check your pockets before you put your clothes in the hamper!", she would exclaim. I would appologize and in a day or two I again would leave yet another lighter in my pants pocket.
So, now being smoke free for over 100 days. I seem to have better memory. Now I consistantly check my pockets for a lighter that is never there before droping them in the hamper. Go figure! :)

The bus driver announces that smoking is prohibited and punishable
by a fine of several hundred dollars. Suddenly, a baby starts crying.
"Come on kid," the bus driver said "you're only 6 months old, you can make it without a cigarette.".

Sorry you're feelng sad.
Try not to let it get to you. Give in to the lethargy. It does pass. Then you start to feel so positive about what you are doing.
I lay around for what seemed like weeks feeling brain dead and exhausted but then I kept reading on here that others did too at that stage so just go with it.
Hope you're having a better day today.
Well done.

I bumped up another one: What was your funniest or oddest junkie thought? in Forum for New Users. That and Slipping from the SSC are two of my faves. Enjoy.
