My first day

Luci, My husband is a smoker also. It was hard to quit with him being a smoker but it is possible. Ask him to smoke outside, and to keep his cigarettes in his car or somewhere that you don't have easy access to. Make sure he knows you really want this and to not tempt you to smoke. Some have posted that their husbands have told them to smoke because they didn't like their mood. Keep a positive attitude, YOU CAN DO THIS. Don't give in, we are all here for you. Who is exercising?

Alexa, Would you mind sharing examples what you eat everyday?? I need to cut WAY down on my calorie intake but can't seem to come up with ideas on what to eat instead. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!

I just wanted to add a little tidbit. I am 50+ days into my quit and my husband still smokes. In some ways its very hard for me but in then again it makes me realize why I quit. He doesn't smoke in the house or the car either. I have made it a point not to pressure him into quitting, he will come around in his own time and if he doesn't then thats his choice, I am going to love him no matter what. I married him as a smoker and loved him them so why should that change since I have quit. Don't pressure him, it will only make him want to keep doing it more. Let him know you are there for him when he is ready. Keep him part of your quit. Keep him posted as to how well you are doing, just to show its possible, not to rub it in. I hope this helps. Good luck to you, I wish you all the best. Also maybe you could ask him to brush his teeth before he wants a kiss. I asked this of my hubby and he was very understanding. Of course sometimes he forgets but I just gently remind him that he doesn't taste good. Keep Strong. Just need some encouragement

Hello everyone.....My parents are moving back to this wonderful state today after being stationed elsewhere for the last 5+ years, the whole time I have been married. I am really struggeling with it and want to smoke but then again I don't. I love my parents don't get me wrong but they stress me out. Its just stressful to think they will be living SOOO close to me and can pop in whenever they see fit. I don't want to smoke and won't smoke, I've come this far why turn back, but I still need some encouragement to keep going. ARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! Just need some encouragement

Alright everyone I really want to smoke now......this is the first time I have REALLY had a craving since my quit. My husband just called and said my parents are back and they have been in my house without my permission!!!!!!!! I can't believe it, that is SOOOO rude, I don't care if they have a key or not that is MY personal space. I am so mad. I understand I am renting the house from them but that DOES NOT give them the right to go into MY space without my permission!!!!! I should be treated like any other renter and they wouldn't do that to anyone else. I really want to smoke but I won't. I WILL NOT let them be my downfall. I refuse to let thme have that power. I don't want to have to hide it again. I won't smoke, I won't smoke, I won't smoke, I won't smoke, I won't smoke. Thanks for the great support everyone. I really need it right now and he helps tremendously. 4my2girls, its great hear from you again, how are things going for you??

READY, SET, STOP

Jonser, This is the EXACTLY the way I felt when I quit, but I am proud to say that I am 4 weeks into my quit and the depressed feeling has gone away. I think it lasted about the first 3 weeks for me. I know that I made the right decision to quit and as hard as it may seem right now it DOES get easier. Try to keep a positive thought about quitting, and do things to keep your hands and mind busy. I ate A LOT of jellybeans those first 2 weeks, not exactly the best thing for me but hey it worked. I feel SO much better and feel have WAY more energy than I did when I did smoke, but it took a little while for that to kick in. Trust me, its TOTALLY worth the hell right now because it will be so much better in the long run. Good luck to you, I know you CAN do this. Just down :(

I am so sorry to hear you are still having a tough time. Like I said before I had a bad weekend too. I think it just the time for pity parties for everyone. Just know you aren't alone. Take some time for yourself and know that everyone on this board is here for you and we all care for you. Maybe you can ask your husband to take the girls to McDonalds then maybe to the park or somethin so you you don't have to cook and can have some much needed YOU TIME. Just remember you are improtant to all of us. You have 2 girls and a husband who love you very much. You have done so much for me in the past month that I don't even know how to thank you. I know without hearing what you had to say I would most likely be smoking again. You have always been there for me to pick me up and make me see the sun through the clouds. You always have such positive things to say to everyone and bring something special to this site. Hang in there, things will get better. There are websites for party ideas, it was a world of help to me when I was planning my daughters party. Parties don't have to be elaborate just fun. Don't stress yourself out over the small stuff. Your daughter will LOVE anything and everything you do to make her day special. Remember we are always here for your when you need us. You are doing GREAT!!!!
