Aniexty over Taking SSRI´s (Prozac)

Hi Juanita
A pleasure to meet you as well. I am not currently taking any meds and am trying to get through this myself, although if I dont see an improvement in the very near future I will be seeking a consultation with my Doctor.
Wether we take meds or not I think we all put on a little holiday weight anyway. What's a few pounds? We are still the same people inside, caring ,loving, and here for each other . Have to go to the store nowI Want Cashews.
Sunny 123, Hi there,
I'm really not sure about my cat Rocket, named after Rocket Maurice Richard of the Montreal Canadians, as he loved to play hockey (so to speak)  with pens in the kitchen. He is 12 years old and we adopted him from a neighbour down the street. Your cat must have been beautiful if it resembled mine. I just think he is the cat's meow..lol

Mood Boosters

Mood boosters,,, never thought of it before but now I see when all the cleaning is done and everything is put away in it's place, it makes me feel good. Taking care of all the plants I have also makes me feel good. Sitting down after dinner lighting a vanilla candle and admiring my home that I put so much work painting and carpeting and hanging carefully chosen pictures on the wall.

Mood Boosters

Hi Davit,
Was just wondering what you thought about us being the way we are in our homes.  Do we keep things in thier place because we feel better having control over the things we can? In my case right now, I can control my home but not the outside world.
Sorry to hear about your ankle, if you don't mind, what happened? Hope it heals soon so you can get back to what you like to do.
Hmm candle holders , I would love to see some of the ones you have built. I just love candlelight and the calming effect and the many odors from the variouse scents they have out there, Vanilla is my favorite but enjoy all fruit scents and lilac. I have yet to find a chocolate scented candle though.

Mood Boosters

Davit,
I think you are a very wise person. As I read this post I realized that I too am always trying to prove myself to people, I always seem to need other's approval. Which is wrong. We are good at we do. From what I see you are very good at what you do and hope you are proud of your candle holder's. Looking forward to some pictures when you can post some more  : ) You are also a very good listener and provide support and advice in this forum.
Glad the antibiotics are helping, you should be up and running in no time.
 Thanks for being there.

planning for exposure work

Just wanted a little input from everyone. I am just starting out in the program and was wondering since I have tried on my own to conquer my phobia, was having some success on my own but was not satisfied it was going fast enough. Anyway, the times I did try and was unseccesful all the little things I learned went out the window.. What if I wrote down keys points on cards and just pulled them out to refresh my thinking? Like remember how to breath and you should not turn around as you will feel dissapointed in yourself. Speaking of me personally of course, that is how I feel if I don;t get to where I am going. What do you think?

Hello: an introduction.

Welcome Jenniferlee !
I believe you will find so many helpful things in this forum. Single Mom also, worried about the same things for years. My Son is now 22 years old and I am still here. I no longer worry about illness, Seems when my Son was old enough and prepared for the world the anxiety went away. You just love your kids and want them to be ok. To some extent that kind of worry is just being a Mom. Single Mom's have a lot to deal with and I congartulate you on a hard job that I am sure you do well.
Lot's of support here for you, so take advantage and let the worries out, so many nice people here to support us.

Hello: an introduction.

Hi Jenniferlee,
As a newcomer 2 weeks in I can say doing the homework and the breathing exercises have helped me so much already. Find your quiet time, (know it's hard with the little pumpkins) and do your breathing. Wish you the best and keep posting !

Mood Boosters

Davit,
That is why we look to excuse the expression (the elder's of the group) for a little help up. I can believe the being a mess part as I have been there and what great progress we have made!
10 and 1/2 inches, that is quite a project. I will be very happy to see the progress you have made, looking forward to it and keep us posted on the scan.

planning for exposure work

Thank  You Sunny, I will print those cards up. Davit, I know I am trying to rush it, but I feel like a race horse at the starting gate just waiting for the horn to blow. I want so much to enjoy the upcoming summer months being free. I will take your advice and slow down, It's just hard to wait for my life to kick start again. Patience.... I'm trying.
