I just want to first tell you Ashley how much I love this site and having you and everyone else for my support system! I am thankful for finding all of you!!!
I have been using the Wii a lot more along with continuing my 2 Bowling leagues. I need to add some regular exercise in there...will be a good habit to start for my 2010!
I suffer from the same problem with the shortness of breath. I actually feel like I am coming down with like a chest cold and/or bronchitis. I used to call my Dr. and tell her my symptoms and she would just call in an antibiotic. It got to the point where I was on meds like every week or other week and finally started to realize it was from my anxiety/depression. I have had it really bad today and I can't seem to get rid of it. I go see the Dr. on Monday to discuss putting me back on Effexor! I am excited about that because I did really good on that and now wish I wouldn't have taken myself off thinking I was ok.
Thank you Colleen. Happy New Year to you as well! Good luck with things and I hope you get feeling better. Earlier along with the other symptoms I also had a flushed face, but no fever. I am hoping that the Effexor takes care of all of these symptoms! I am glad that the breathing techniques are working for you. I haven't been doing them much lately because it hasn't seemed to help me...although I am wondering if I was doing them correctly! Looks like I need to go to my toolbox and do some more work! Good luck with everything Colleen. Things will get better!
I have noticed that when I have a cold, flu, bronchitis or just feeling sick then my anxiety is way higher. I am noticing that certain meds and certain foods are triggering my symptoms and making them worse. I see my Dr. Monday to talk about Effexor and some other issues so hopefully it helps me! Good luck Davit with your appt!
Went to the Dr this morning. She is running bloodwork to check my thyroid and the CBC. She prescribed me Effexor. I went to fill the prescription and they told me that the XR is more than double the cost of the regular. My insurance doesn't cover it so I have to go for the lower cost. I called my Dr's office and of course my Dr. was gone for the day. Looks like maybe I will be able to start it tomorrow night then. She also told me that I can continue my Xanax until the Effexor is in my system then I need to try to wein off of it. Just wanted to update everyone!
Well my labwork came back and showed that my iron is way low. I started on both my Effexor and Iron tonight so hopefully after it all gets into my system I will be feeling much better! Feeling extremely dizzy right now though.
I wasn't given a reason...I all of a sudden just got a horrible panic attack with all the physical sensations. I am terrified and freaking out. Last time I was this bad I went to ER and they ruled it as an allergic reaction to the antidepressant and gave me xanax to calm me. Well, I took my xanax and just waiting for it to kick in. This sucks so bad.
Thanks to all of you! I made it through without going to ER, which is a huge step for me. I will be honest though, last night I thought I was going to die....just like before when I had them. I was able to recognize the symptoms and tell myself it was anxiety, even though I was feeling horrible. It took awhile for the panic to end, and now today I am really weak and irritable and extra emotional. I have so many negative thoughts running through my head. I was better off before I tried taking meds just like before. I don't know what to do. Is it safe to take Xanax - the lowest dose for long term? I am actually taking only 1/2 of the lowest dose. Please let me know!
