thats exactly what it feels like, like maybe i got bronchitis. I went to get my yearly last week and he said my heart and lungs sound normal. I went on paxil and am feeling better. I went off the celexa i took for 3 wks as i was sure that was causing it but i dont think it was now. I also do box breathing, that helps.
I smoke, so quitting is my next step...........its going to be a major challenge for me.
Thanks for your reply and good luck with the effexor!
I suffer from the same problem with the shortness of breath. I actually feel like I am coming down with like a chest cold and/or bronchitis. I used to call my Dr. and tell her my symptoms and she would just call in an antibiotic. It got to the point where I was on meds like every week or other week and finally started to realize it was from my anxiety/depression. I have had it really bad today and I can't seem to get rid of it. I go see the Dr. on Monday to discuss putting me back on Effexor! I am excited about that because I did really good on that and now wish I wouldn't have taken myself off thinking I was ok.
I've been like that all week and I can't shake it. I don't notice it if I'm busy which I couldn't be because my Arthritis flared up. It feels like my lungs are full of glue. The thing is that if I drink a cup of ginger mint tea it will go away for a while. I know it is just panic crowding me but I still can't shake it. It is very annoying. I thought it would go after the holiday was over but it is still there. Some times I feel this not quite a panic attack is worse than if I just panicked and got it over with. I had some lung capacity tests done and they were excellent. It is a simple test that takes about fifteen minutes. You might want to have it done just to rule it out.
Shortness of breath can be a symptom of panic but it can also be a symptom of other physical concerns. I would consult a physician to rule out any other causes.
