First time challenging your thoughts...

This story made me smile, and ive been seeing so much now that its just giving it a try over and over again if you have to and one day it will all just fall into the right place, untell i found this site ive not had any advice from anyone so always thought that i wasnt going to get better because ive tried so many times and nothings worked, so thanks again everyone x can i just ask about the challenging thoughts though cause ive not quite sussed it out yet, say for example ive decided that im gonna try and walk down the street and my first anxious thoughts are im gonna panic and people will see me, so to challenge this i say something like "theres no reason for me to panic, ive been down the street plenty of times and nothing has happened, and why would anyone be looking at me as if they have nothing better to do?" and then just keep saying it to myself untell i believe it or do i have the challenge thing all wrong? lol
thanks zoe

Fans?

I havent got a fan but if i feel panicky i go to the window and feel the breeze from that, think i will get a fan though, i also use a bottle of water to help me relax and do belly breathing, when i used go out i always had to have some to waft my face with, like a cd case or something like that to feel the breeze of it, so if your crazy then we all are

yayyy i did it

Well just thought id let you all know that today i went shopping and im so chuffed, started out my parents was coming to visit, so i text them to say when they are at a certain point let me know and me and kids will meet them at end of street, so we did that and walked round the block to get home, after a cup of tea, i sugessted that we go for another walk maybe to the supermarket, so we all walked there, got some bits and walked home, now this particular supermarket is somewere i dont like to go cause ive had one of my worst PAs in there, i know i felt not bad cause i was with my mum (safe person) and when i did start to feel funny i told myself i was ok, and tried distracting myself, so all in all it was ok and no majer attacks, tomorrow my fellas mum is coming down to take him xmas shopping so im thinking of going with them and not with my safe person so that will be a new challenge, and this is all down to this site and the people on here so thank you, and for anyone who is at the same stage as me but not got out yet, if i can do it you can do it also, i know everyone is different but i really believe with the help of this site anyone can get better
good luck
