me too... and you guys...i got a little weepy hahahaha!!!!
and yes, any newbies...it feels good and i am still struggling, but i am keeping this new additude so that when the struggles hit, i know it's just a bit, a test, something that if i give in- i'm toast....i see it all around me (my boss started up again) and i am very proud that even though quiting quiting seems easier- it's not worth it... it's feeling this good is what's worth it...
and just so everyone knows - more challenges...my boyfriend challenged me to a 1/2 marathon...started running 2 miles night...already lungs feel good and getting faster every night...and this is from me a heavy 2 pk day 16 year smoking champ....
My Mileage:
My Quit Date: 3/12/2010 Smoke-Free Days: 124 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,100 Amount Saved: $1,550.00 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 17 Mins: 3 Seconds: 37
I am shocked i was even a smoker... i have been "training" for a 5 k (on the 12th my 6 mth anniversary for komen breast cancer) and i run the streets of NYC... it's been very hot so breathing is hard but made even harder by all the people smoking on the streets as i run by...
i can't even believe i was one of the stagnant people just sitting there with no journey...being a non smoker feels sooooo freaking awesome!!!
thank you ssc and all the member who keep people going... i owe a lot to the fact that i was able to vent to people here and blow off the steam need to get over the slly cravings! I am that healthy person now! Everyone join in!!!

i admit... it is easy not to need the site after accomplish your quit... but even if, i do feel that others (me included) need the success stories, the reasons not to go back... i may not be here as often but it is still on my favs and i pop in every once in a while to see if any one needs help... i should try harder!!! we all need help hahaha!!!!
hugs to everyone who was here for me, your long term success helped me and i need to be here for people who need my help...
I have been so MIA and I apologize... but i wanted to come back on assure everyone that i am still a full fledged non smoker- loving every min of it...
but mostly wanted to share a story about a woman on the train...she was reading the Allen carr book. Though that book didn't make me quit he got me started... so i wrote a note on a piece of paper telling her good luck join the SSC and that i was a happy 7 mth non smoker... she was joyed with the support- and that my friend, that is what the SSC is... support- we all know what it is like and we need each other... i need to reach out to newbies who want to know how to get to where i am... i want to support.
