Hello nonic I don't know about you but I can feel more alone in a room full of people than I can just being by myself at times. I find that spending a day with freinds can change my whole outlook , feel a lot better and might last a week ! Changes the whole perspective of things. I know that this time of year can be a cause of increased anxiety. Also an anniversary date can add stress as well. The thing that we have to understand is that even "old timers " can have trying times as well. We tend to concentrate so much on the newcomer that sometimes we tend to assume everything to be ok. Solitude is good , loneliness isn't. There are no strangers , just people we haven't met yet. I wish you well nonic. breather 45 Addict still 0

Hello Henny Penny Congratulations on over 9 months smoke free. An awesome acheivement considering that you had to contend with that Foxy Loxy nicodemon. You've put a lot into your quit and it shows. Excellent !!!! breather 55 Addict 0

Hello Mr. Q Glad you had a good holiday. Happy new year. I always enjoy reading your posts. It's funny you were talking about the car breaking down and the nicodemon. I backed the car in the drive on Saturday and that's where it died. Of course everything's closing for the week end. I knew I wouldn't be able to do anything about it until today so there wasn't any reason to be upset about it. Not anything to start smoking over anyway. It's about knowing what the trigger's are and knowing when to walk away. Got a new battery today and everything is as it should be. Sense of humour a must. breather 55 Addict 0

Hi Bryan Glad you're stopping in. It's nice to leave the house and not have to check and make sure the house isn't going to burn down. You know you haven't left a cigarette burning because you're not smoking. When you finally stop as well as having water on hand it might be a good idea to have small treats on hand like mints , candys , etc. Be prepared beforehand. Yes Bryan , no smelly ashtrays and nicotine stains to name a couple. Keep coming around. breather 55 Addict 0

Hello all Sometimes you have to put yourself in the picture. I would have liked to get my dad in the picture but it has to be very small. Anyway I'm 2 years old and a non smoker. Although my dad stopped smoking the damage was already done. He did quit smoking however for the last 15 years of his life which I'm sure prolonged it. I think I had more brains when I was 2. breather 55 Addict still 0
