Here I go again

Hello Twohazy  No one is going to shoot you here.  It's not stupidity it's called addiction. The big quit ( sarcasm ) I had before this one probably didn't last an hour so don't beat up on yourself. Every quit , no matter how long or short is beneficial. They say it takes the average person 7 trys before they finally stop for good. Reassess what went wrong and regroup. If you haven't read Allen Carr's book it might be a great help as it was to me. Nobody has to tell me how tough it is , I know. It takes courage to post. The only shame is in not coming back. breather 63 Addict 0

Going to make another attempt

Hey Bryan  You're 1/2 way through Hell week. Way to go. It's a tough journey but it's worth it. At this point the nicotine should be mostly out of your system although I'm sure it's rough right now. Think of the cravings you're going through as your body healing itself. Try not to dwell on or entertain thoughts of smoking. When a crave hits distract yourself. At some point it will get easier. Am I Dreaming?????

I was dreaming of smoking last night. It isn't the first time this has happened. Not just dreaming that I'd like to but actually doing the deed. So I'm starting to wake up and I'm going through all the guilt and anxiety emotions as if it had really happened. Feeling like a hippocrit for something I didn't do. Not a good start to the day but I'm sure it will get better. I wouldn't think this worthy of mention except that it's so real , so vivid , so all encompassing. I would imagine that I'm not the first person to have this happen. I feel like I'm in Hell week again this morning. Has this happened to you ?? Let me out of here !!! I didn't do it , honest !! breather 64 Addict 0

Am I Dreaming?????

Hi Jazz It's good to know that I'm not alone. Thank you for your input. It just goes to show how incidious and sick this addiction is when you're " attacked " at the subconcious level and in your weakest moments. Looks like the nicodemon has stooped to new lows this time. It seems that if the demon can't win fairly it will play unfairly , but who said anything was fair. I think it will try to win any way possible and I'll need to " guard the quit ". I see this as just another test now that I really think about it. The last week or so has been the best yet as far as cravings go so I figured it was about time to get blindsided anyway. I need to never become complacent and forget where I came from or I can be back there right quick. A sense of humour is a must. breather 64 Addict still 0
