Sorry to hear you slipped, but don't be too hard on yourself. The trick is to never quit quiting. Practice makes perfect, etc.... Pick yourself up, dust that Texas dust off of you and make another go at it! You CAN do it. I promise.

One brand that I used stated to put them above the waist. Others never addressed where to put them and then another stated the backside was okay. Honestly, I rotate the location because I'm rather sensitive to the adhesive. Shoulders, arms, lower back, backside.....sometimes I should probably apply it to my forhead and my husband has suggested I put it over my mouth. However, I don't think he has my best interest at heart Good luck.

No, you are most definately not alone. I actually have them frequently. In fact, all of my dreams are extremely vivid. But those smoking dreams are the worst! Hope tonight you have sweet dreams...

Not really. Everyone quits at different paces and different ways....
However, my own personal experience in this area was not successful. This is not my first quit and my last one lasted 16 months. I blew it with a "I'll have just one..." At other times I tried unsuccessfully to cut back and then I tried a "I'll just have three a day, after meals.", which graduated to a "That's awfully hard, I suppose I'll add one in the morning and one at bedtime." Until I was back to smoking full-time. NOPE for me. I am either gonna smoke a pack or more a day or nothing. I'm not passing judgement on you. You do what you think is best for you. I hope it works out. Just be careful and wear your cleats. That's a mighty slippery slope!

That is really an excellent point about the Chantix and it's link to suicide. My last quit was with Chantix and I found it to be an excellent aid. I used it for three months and had a 16 month quit........but, then like any good addict, I thought I could control the demon and fed him "just one". Yeah, right! Smoking often does mask some suppressed emotional and psychological issues and many times smokers who quit have to face up to those issues as well. In any event, I think you really want to quit, and whatever method you use, keep in mind that it's your mindset that is of the utmost importance. More so than the method itself. Look around...so many here have quit by varying methods. The one common denominator of the successful quitters being an intense desire to quit. Bingo!
