When I am stressed and also when possible I drive...and I usually go to the beach and listen to the waves, I also love taking a bath by candle light, I have a serenity CD that I listen to with the sounds of the waves and gulls.. two of my favorite things.

Hey Lalew .. I'm into just over 60 days and I still crave and some days kill for a cigarette and ask myself why I'm doing this.. and yet when I go anywhere and today all smokers are smoking outside and I see those smokers I know I will not smoke again. I think that some people its more gradual and sometimes we don't even realize how long we are NOT thinking of a cigarette. Any time that I have a crave I think back to my worse days and ask myself if I want to go through that again.. Hang in there post often and all kinds of fabulous people will respond to you .. 50 days of quit is too good to give up now!

Strangely enough I found the first two weeks of my quit the easiest. As I 'm nearing almost soooo close to 100 days I'm totally loosing it. I quit Champix last Friday so a week ago and I've had probably one of the most stressful weeks of work .. go figure. I haven't smoked but man if I had one even near to me this week I would have! These past few days I am back to constantly thinking about cigarettes. I've read posts ..taken a relaxing bath , tried to read ...but nothing seems to be doing it. Its frustrating cause my hubby and I quit and also one of my friends and it seems so easy for them so lookin at them just makes me more frustrated not at them but at myself. I just have to know that this does go away.. I know we all don't have the same quit but please someone tells me that this feeling does go away .. 4 months , 5 maybe 6 .. do you ever feel normal ? Right now I'm soooo close to loosing it and I don't know how to stop it !

thanks everyone ..I think that the reason that I found it so easy the first couple of weeks is that you expect it to be tough .. I don't think after 3 months you totally expect it to continue to be tough and you realize just how much of an addiction you have. When I first took the test before I quit there was a test saying how addicted are you I scored very high saying I was very addicted to cigarettes .. but after I quit I found it so easy that I began to think man this isnt' hard at all and wondered if the test was true... I began to think that I'm done and I've kicked it .. wow .. and you begin to for lack of a better word be cocky in your attitude ..I've come a long way but only recently I have learned that I still have a long way to go.. Thanks for responding everyone .. I don't know what I would do with out the support this group gives .. but I probably would be smoking right now without you instead of crying .. Thanks !

Ok.. I didn't smoke yesterday and reviewed the whole program again... I am dealing with it almost like pretending that today is my quit date.. soooooo focus breathe in breathe out and it will pass! I think the stress of last week was really getting to me and yes I did forget why I was quitting and my coping skills were just forgotten or the idea pushed out of my head. Thanks everyone for responding yesterday today looks better YAY !! :)
