Hey Trooper ...... I think I will remember this year for the rest of my life.. hehe and to keep on remembering what it is like to quit makes you really think about whether you would want to go thru this twice .. "NOT" These days the urges or craves are coming on strong but like you I breathe in breathe out and post. I was saying in another post that I think you need to get thru every season as each season we associated some thing we did with smoking. Have a great day everyone! Hi Boots, Your's was the first post I read today. You really caught my attention with your topic. Sounds like you're doing much better. I find weekends are harder than weekdays. I can keep myself busy at work during the week but on weekends I have too much time to think and feel. I'm having a tough time thinking and feeling without a cigarette to numb my senses when the thoughts or feelings get too strong. It's just something new I have to learn and not be afraid of. I find it sometimes helps to think about myself a year from now and imagine how I will feel, what I'll be doing, and how I will remember this day in a year. Do you think you'll remember this day in a year? Hi Boots. I can't believe I'm having such a hard time at the quit. I'm hopeing & praying this crave goes away. I'm still on the 7mg patch for the next 2 weeks. I'm going to try using one every other day, just to wean me off of the nicodemon. I hate the way I have been feeling this week. WHAT IS GOING ON??? But I WILL get thru this crap. And so will you. Feb. Freebirds stick together!!! hey Boots, when I came off the Chantix I had a real hard time also, for about 2 weeks. I was super emotional and irrational - I was sent home from work for 3 days!! I felt terrible. Turns out you are supposed to wean off Chantix, I had no idea. It does pass, you will feel better, honest. Step up your rewards that might help a bit. Today the only time I think about cigs is when I come here or when I smell or see someone smoking. Honestly I never thought I get to this place, but it is wonderful. I hope the same for you, Sue My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 360 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,600 Amount Saved: $630.00 Life Gained: Days: 35 Hrs: 2 Mins: 33 Seconds: 7

Hang on tight, Boots!!!! This one will pass too. Glad you're feeling a little better. Perhaps its back to basics for a bit. One day at a time, take the time to do nice things for yourself. Be good to yourself. Your stats are great. Keep them going strong. What was normal as a smoker is normal no more !. old nic fights nasty so put on those punching gloves & be prepared for a fight. btw, We don't just suddenly 'get over smoking' we learn to adapt our lives in accepting that we don't smoke anymore and each day it gets that little bit easier to deal with. Thats nicotine addiction / drug substance abuse for ya & just like the alcoholic avoid temptation. good on ya. Hi Boots So glad today is better for you. If things get weird again feel free to yell. I think this is the part where we have to trust the long-timers.
