Hey Chance!!!

Welcome to the SSC!  Stick close, read and learn from all of your new quit buddies here and from the information in the Program and Tools (above Tabs).  The old saying goes that knowledge is power and it really helps to have this knowledge to make sure that this is your forever quit!  We're all rooting for you!

Welcome Chance, I too smoked 20 a day for Fifty years. I stopped in Jan. I'm now on day 130. The reason for my success this time has been the support and encouragement found here. Along with a real desire to kick the addiction. So, good for you for stopping, keep the quit! It's quite simple really. Just never light another. Look forward to watching your progress. Viv

Hi chance, and welcome to the site. Please read around, check out 'My Program" and "Tools" buttons at the top of this page, and check in frequently.

You might also want to do an introduction post, so that people can read your story and give separate responses.

Good luck and congratulations on your decision to quit.

I think you are right! Yep it IS all about NOPE = Not One Puff Ever!  Once you have some distance from the beast, it shrivels up - you will be able to kick the habit to the curb (again) in no time if you can just remember NOPE! Keep going Hamlet and hang on in there! You've got it this time!
