Welcome Smithmi and well met! Good morning to you! I hope that this morning finds you calm and focused. I will tell you that I smoked for 40+ years, and if I can do it with the help of all these wonderful folks here, then you can too! The key is your attitude toward the quit; you fight the addiction not the quit. And if your determination to quit is stronger than your desire to smoke, then you will do this without a doubt.
Do stay in the present though, it's really important not to get too strung out on "forever" and "never" and the like. I can do the "what if" string for days, but if I just breathe and center myself and turn it over to my higher power (God) then it's almost easy. Simple, really, when you think about it. N.O.P.E. = Not One Puff Ever!
