Thanks for the post Bingo. I'm still laughing. Like Polly, I know it's not right to laugh but I can't help myself. It's just that I can so relate! I'm not sure I could follow a detox diet. It's so strict and limited. I gave up drugs and alcohol years ago. I finally gave up smoking. I'm not prepared to give up all my sugar just yet. After I gained 7lbs I joined weight watchers. I'm still having a difficult time fully controlling my eating in the evenings but I am binging on healthier foods. Are you allowed to eat popcorn? It's a great low cal filler :) I've now lost 8lbs and plan to keep going. Hang in there Bingo. It'll be worth it. Hi Bingo, Ha Ha Ha!! You have a very funny and light outlook on the predicament that we've all put ourselves in. Yep, I'm there too (can't let my weight gain surpass the days I've quit!). So I say, good for you, especially for the dedication to your quit and your health. I have gained 9 pounds since the beginning of my quit and my belly for the first time in my life refuses to follow the rest of me during a jog. In fact, I believe it throws itself in the exact opposite direction than the rest of my body at any given moment. So, my strategy is to jump start my metabolism through exercise. I bought an elliptical machine when I quit and have recently started to use it daily for at least 20 mins. I can't say that I've been counting calories though. You, on the other hand, are doing GREAT, by the way!
