Wow, I'm glad I'm stopping now before I have to experience those things. Yes I've been going to the gym 3 to 4 days a week for years but riding a bike or running a treadmill don't last long for me. I'm hoping to start testing the new me out. Do the Gym thing as much as you can... the exercise will make you feel so much better and you'll have clear proof that your health is improving now that you're finished with cigarettes. My exercising has increased by 100% since I quit and I'm only talking about the daily chores like shopping, the post office, the bank... carrying garbage bags and then grocery bags and little jobs around the apartment - all things that I dreaded doing when I was still smoking and sick sick sick from lung infections. I had no energy and no breath. No inclination to do even the essentials - all I did was smoke and watch TV and read my books... Now I'm cooking Chinese for myself and eating loads of fruit and I feel GREAT! It's great that you already have the habit of going to the gym even through your "evil" years of smoking... you'll want to go there more often now!! So what I've been thinking about this morning is increasing those visits to the gym. I know I'm going to gain weight. I have talked to one person who gained about 20 lbs and had to buy new clothes. I'm thinking 5lbs and I gotta stop at that. I like my clothes. LOL Terry My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/17/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 40 Amount Saved: $6.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 12 Mins: 11 Seconds: 19

I truly do know how hard addiciton is. I know now that I have left the cigarrettes behind me I cannot pick up even 1. So I begin day 5. I started out my morning without really even thinking about it until halfway to work and then the only thought was "Wow, I didn't even think of smoking before I left" That's cool!
