Hi Susie, Well done you are doing great, Keep telling yourself (I am not giving up anything, I am taking back my health) I try not to think about it as giving up something, it helps if I feel as if I am taking my life back. just keep trying you can do it.

Thank you all for helping me get through tonight. I had a relaxing bath and I'm feeling a lot better. This site really works because of people like you. I'll continue to take it one day at a time. After 36 years of chain smoking, I have gone 24 hours without a cigarette and that's something to smile about. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/3/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 50 Amount Saved: $18.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 6 Mins: 20 Seconds: 30

Yes, Susie! I can hear the commitment in your posts. Keep up that sense of victory over the swinish nicotine. Hi Susie, I hope you found that bath very relaxing. I feel your resolve. I can very easily remember the first day of my quit. In fact I cryed alot in the early days. You have probably heard mention of Blue Sundays for me. Everything was blue for awhile. It did get better and it was worth it. Just keep holding out and give yourself time to heal. Keep all your tools handy because there is a physical and a mental part to this quit. Stay as positive as possible and just don't smoke. I know you can do this because I was as bad as they come. The rewards are so worth it. You will see. I'm cheering you on.
