Ex-slave, Some members experience a small adjustment period after they take their last step down. This is temporary and it will pass. Get back to basics: use the same strategies that got you through hell week to get you through this rough patch and don't forget to keep up with rewards. Ex-slave, This uncomfortable feeling should pass soon. Some quitters notice a few days of adjustment after their last step down. Three cheers to being nicotine free! Danielle ________________________ The SSC Support Team

So, you are almost 24 hours into not being a sucker anymore eh???? Just kiddin, couldn't help myself!!! That is so wonderful! I stopped at a fast food place yesterday to get a soda so I could use the big soft chewy straw... it was gone in 1/2 hour! Good luck in your new adventure...I know you will do great. Look how far you have come already in your journey 128 days without smoking. That sure is a lot to be proud of! thanks everyone, This is crazy. I hang with another quitter while I am at work. I bummed a 2 mg lozenge off of her today? But, I had only that one and it was very anticlimatic, so no more. I was just gropeing for something...something to calm my restlessness. I can not even describe how I feel..like I'm getting too much oxygen to my brain; like I should be doing something, but I'm not...uncomfortable, uncomfortable. I will be soo glad when this is all over. I am happy to be smoke free, but I hate the way that I feel most of the time. thanks ladybugg, But, I do feel so sad right now. It is probably just some withdrawal symptoms. Thanks for your support. I am not going to smoke. How the hell could I have gotten myself into this predicament to begin with? It's amazing isn't it? I was an athelete; competitve swimmer, track, softball, etc. Smoking was pawned off as being soooo glamorous back in the 50's, 60's...plus, my mother smoked. We had no education about the dangers of nicotine when I was a child. Now, the kids do; but I see more young kids still smoking. it is heart breaking. thanks casey and phil, I am preparing myself. I will be busy at work today. And LADYBUGG, I have used Mentos in the past. They are about the same size as the lozenge. But, I live in Phx and have never heard of anything named the "3 hour mint". Do you buy them at the grocery? I forgot what part of the world that you live in. That would be soooo perfect. Do they really last 3 hours???? I could make a lozenge last over an hour! What talent, huh? So, this is my first morning with no lozenge. I am enjoying my coffe and hanging with you all. I will get busy here in a minute getting ready for work. Thanks for the concern, y'all. yipee--smoke-free! welll, I had my last nicotine lozenge this afternoon. I had entirely tooo many carbs for dinner (philly cheese steak and onion rings). I'm drinking a beer and chewing like mad on a straw. I feel pretty wiped out, so hopefullly I will be able to sleep tonight. I sucked on a million cherry cough drops this afternoon at work. But, so far, pretty good. I want the nicotine out of my body completely...onward to total freedom.
