had my last nicotine lozenge today

Oh, that is soooo good to hear ladybugg. I've been using 4 of the 2mg lozenges a day...yesterday I had three; today I had 2. I am tired of having them in my mouth. I guess I will be transfering my oral fixation to cherry cough drops and chewing on straws. I am a little scared, but at the same time excited to go into this last stage of quitting..on to total freedom. I am sooo thankful that i have been able to quit smoking. It still amazes me. Rainie, Ha! But, I am still a BIG sucker!..cough drops, life savers, mints, etc etc. Thanks all. I felt pretty good today. I am kind of uncomfortable right now. But, I felt uncomfortable when i was doing the lozenges..I just fricking feel uncomfortable most of the time. Hopefully, this feeling will go away soon. I think that I finally have it through my thick skull that I can not have one puff, if I want to be free. Sometimes I feel so worn out mentally. nah...they are named that for how long it should keep your breath fresh. I hunted and searched for something that would last as long as the lozenges. The 3-hour mints are sugar-free at least so I could eat alot of them! *lol* I live near Houston. I have only found the mints by the check-out stands at the big chain department/grocery stores. You are doing great! Not just smoke-free now...but nic-free! ~lbugg~

I forgot! There are mints that come in a tin (can't remember who makes them) called 3-hour mints (something like that). They are basically the same size as the lozenges, so they tuck in your cheek the same way. :) I still always try to have a tin with me! The green ones are my favorites. Hey ex-slave! Wishing you luck on this final step! I used the lozenges longer than I should have....simply from fear of stopping them. I hadn't been able to cut back on them...so I basically went cold turkey off the lozenges. When I did finally stop, I found that it was much easier than I imagined! I had very few craves for just the first couple of days, then it was over. Don't let the fear stop you! We CAN do this!! Just checking in with you! You've already made it almost two full days! :) One more and the majority of the nic is out of your system! How are you going to reward yourself? Sounds like you learned from your borrow that you really don't need the lozenge anymore. :) Between this and your other thread I am so excited for you! You sound like someone who is definately moving forward...moving on! That desire you have for the cravings and "uncomfortableness" to go away is what you have going for you the most. Because you have also found the only way to make them stop is to not give in to them. You can do this!
