Today marks the 1st day in Ohio that there will be no smoking in any bars, restaurants, bowling alleys and all work places. This makes it much easier for me to continue my journey. Already I have heard people make comments how they were going to quit bowling becuase the government is taking their right to smoke away. Even in my place of business, my employees are complaining. Alls I tell them it's going to be the law and that I tried to set an example that if I can quit so can you.
For anybody else that their state, city or country that instituded a law like this, how long did it take people to grow accustomed to and do you think overall it's a positive or negative effect in the community? Bar owners are saying that they are going to lose 50% to 80% of their business and that they will probably close. Has this happened in new non-smoking communities?
Just looking for thoughts and opinions if anyone would care to share.
