Sleep

18 years ago 0 2631 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I'm using the patch and heard it disturbs sleep but so far I'm not waking up at night. Some of my friends said they take if off before bed. As far as sleep goes, I am waking up early and I love it! I always had to drag my big butt outta bed. Hi, I love this site. When I get down, I just log on. TY I have a question and I know everyone is different but did any of you wake up 5 to 8 times a night. I know that its probably the lack of nicotine but I can't wait to sleep a full night. :)

Welcome and Kudos on your quit! I had a terrible time sleeping at first. I would wake up and not be able to go back to sleep. Now I am waking up a couple of times a night, but am able to lay back down and sleep some more, so it IS getting better! Best! Patches at night gave me nightmares! They were too horrible to describe here andthey are still in my mind now weeks later!! I throw it away every night and put a new one on the second I wake up in the morning.!! Tried a sytupid experiment(in retrospect ) of going without for a day. Hey Jos, Yup that was me waking up like every hr or waking up and not being able to get back to sleep. But it has been 2 months for me and I am getting better sleep. It started getting better around week 4 for me. I only wake up once in a while now. And my sleep is more restful and I wake up awake. So there is an end in site, just plow through it! Jos, Yes, join the club. In the beginning, I woke up every couple of hours. Slowly, over time, this has gotten better and now, most of the time, I can sleep uniterrupted, though for the most part I find off the smokes, I sleep less. Just be patient... In time, it'll get better. Jos sure is, try to relax before bedtime, drink soothing camomille, bubble baths are also helpful. This too shall pass. :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 93 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,403 Amount Saved: $372 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 8 Mins: 8 Seconds: 16
