I'm not sure of the correct forum for this question, but will post here. I've just joined here today after finding this site. I quit on 6-9-05 and have done fine other than about 9 lbs. weight gain. My biggest concern right now is the inability to take a full breath at times. Why would this start happening now after going on 10 months? Is this normal?

Teppy, you should see a doctor as we are not medical professionals here.

Welcome Teppy !
Have you had a cold or sinus problem or anything lately ?
If so, it could be your chest carrying a bit of gunk..
If not, I think I would make a trip to the doctor.. shortness of breath may be nothing.. but may be serious too.
I have shortness of breath when I push myself too hard.. thinking that I am invincible.. which I am not(yet).
My doctor told me to practice breathing from my stomach area.. and not just lung area.. deeper breathing.
10 months that is wonderful.. many congrats !!

Teppy,
It is a good idea to check with your doctor as you are doing. They will be able to rule our anything medical.
Keep Strong,
Josie

teppy, I started at 16 and quit at 41. From 32 on it was 3 packs a day. As for shortness of breath it comes and go's. The more I think about it the worse it gets.It dose not matter if I am active or not. W
