Stickin, Thanks for this timely reminder. Never choose to see the "positive" side of smoking without taking a hard look at the long list of negatives. Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

To read this pleases me, you so deserve this quit. And you are sooooo correct in that, let it sink in, understand what it is and then dump it. Yes, this yearning we have to be smoke free. Never, ever trade what you have worked so hard to accomplish because this freedom does not come easy. It is hard work to quit, however we all can do it! I just don't want to spend the quitting energy anymore. It's not fun so let's get in done and over with. You are so right! I've been thinking of smoking all day! Can you imagine that?? Thought crossed my mind a couple of times this morning and I guess I picked it up and ran with it. I haven't done that in ages! It's much easier to ignore those thoughts and much harder to set them aside after processing them. Whatever it takes, as long as you don't light that next one you will be fine! Spare yourself the grief and do not fantasize about the goodness of a smoke. Even if you think a smoke would be settling, I suppose you would sustain a few minutes of gagging and then and then what? A smoke to us is no longer what it once was. You would be very unhappy and kick yourself some if you returned to a smoking life. Be thankful that you are strong enough to have been able to quit and stay quit. Smoke free thoughts are good, positive thoughts.
