There is no positive side of smoking, guys. It's all downside & when you start thinking otherwise, it's time to take back your head because the junkie has it.
I was in a meeting almost all day today (oh yay, a bunch of bankers in a small room with a lot of paper & a power point show. WOOHOO!!)
A good friend & ex-smoking buddy was sitting next to me & of course when he went out for a smoke at the break, I was a little bit jealous. Considering the circimstances & the BLAH's I've been fighting, I even briefly let the junkie think we might go with him!
When he came back, I nearly gagged at the smell & actually had to move a few feet away from him. That made me think of all the other gross, disgusting & unhealthy things about smoking & that made me think about my reasons for quitting. That, in turn, made me think about how much better I feel & look & all the positives that not smoking has brought to my life & that made me feel sorry for the friend I had been envying only a few minutes before!
Unfortunately, nowhere in there did I think about what was going on in the meeting & I'm pretty sure I missed something I'm supposed to know!
It is not always easy to stay quit but it is always worth it!
