I think if I went back to smoking, I would never quit again. So I am cherishing everything that I have worked so hard for. I think that the smell is what keeps me quit. Every time I smell a smoker I almost gag. My husband reminds me that I smelled like that too. Of course I didn't think that I did, but....... Thanks for the reminder. There is nothing that smoking can or will do to improve ones life. I have only had to learn that over and over, now I think I have got it :) Unhooked loved what you said "It is not always easy to stay quit but it is always worth it! " Amen to that!!! Keep the Quit Sparky My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/30/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 134 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,340 Amount Saved: $402.00 Life Gained: Days: 18 Hrs: 3 Mins: 14 Seconds: 19

There is no positive side of smoking, guys. It's all downside & when you start thinking otherwise, it's time to take back your head because the junkie has it. I was in a meeting almost all day today (oh yay, a bunch of bankers in a small room with a lot of paper & a power point show. WOOHOO!!) A good friend & ex-smoking buddy was sitting next to me & of course when he went out for a smoke at the break, I was a little bit jealous. Considering the circimstances & the BLAH's I've been fighting, I even briefly let the junkie think we might go with him! When he came back, I nearly gagged at the smell & actually had to move a few feet away from him. That made me think of all the other gross, disgusting & unhealthy things about smoking & that made me think about my reasons for quitting. That, in turn, made me think about how much better I feel & look & all the positives that not smoking has brought to my life & that made me feel sorry for the friend I had been envying only a few minutes before! Unfortunately, nowhere in there did I think about what was going on in the meeting & I'm pretty sure I missed something I'm supposed to know! It is not always easy to stay quit but it is always worth it! Stickin, Hope you don't mind but I am going to copy your post. You are right...smoking would not, or ever will be the same for me. Thank God!
