WOW! Thanks, taildragger, no kidding you have some awesome stats & does it ever bring home the recent post about never knowing who is watching. (Aloha?) Taildragger! Thanks for that post! I have always wondered why so many seem to 'lurk' and not come on and join us (because it really is more fun to post) You have put some light on that. I think that's great! Welcome all Lurkers, if you've quit good for you! If not - what are you waiting for? :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 131 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,275 Amount Saved: $1,382.05 Life Gained: Days: 15 Hrs: 23 Mins: 34 Seconds: 19

My goodness... Taildragger, you've just caused me to throw some of my assumptions out the window. Now I'm wondering just how many successful quitters we've got... who lurk but never post! :) Well, thank-you so much for sharing with us... and if you ever decide to "call" again, we'd be so pleased to hear from you. In the meanwhile... it will be nice to know that you're out there. Hi all. Long time listener, first time caller... I would not have made it without folks like BFS, Lady, Bear, Kiwi, Lamplighter...I could name names all day. You all who post and give us so much inspiration...you know who you are. I quit smoking on November 26, 2005 and joined this site. When I did reach out on this site, someone was there for me and that is what helped me to get to where I am today. It has not always been a walk in the park but nobody said it would be. I occasionally log on to check out my stats (which are awesome, by the way) but I visit regulary without logging on. I guess that makes me a lurker (or wallflower) and I'm comfortable with that. I'm not a leader but I seek out those who are, to give me hope and inspiration. This is where I come for comfort. You all have so much to offer. Thank you for that. I may not be vocal, but I am attentive. I bet there are lots of others like me out there. We appreciate you posters. Keep it coming. Bear, you knew when you started this post that some would disagree, think you were talking about them eh? As my Mum used to tell me if you dish it out better be ready to take it :) I read your post when I got up this morning and chuckled, I got it, knew what you were saying straight away - agreed with you, but didn't reply then or during the day because it takes all kinds and our purpose here is to support. If we were all exactly the same it would be a boring place ;) Don't hibernate too long you might get cranky :) Sue My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 70 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 700 Amount Saved: $122.50 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 17 Mins: 23 Seconds: 21

Bear, I humbly apologize for hurting you. I guess I just saw me in the type of person you described, and got a little (OK, a lot) defensive. Plus, I LOVE a good debate, and you are always able to challenge me enough that it's fun and entertaining. I'm sorry if I took it too far. I REALLY wasn't trying to attack you personally and I didn't think that I did, but if you took it that way, I'm sorry. It's impossible to convey tone of voice on these boards, which often leads to misunderstanding and hurt feelings, when it's not intended at all. Like Lady said, I can get pretty fiesty and it doesn't take much to get me started! :p But you add a lot to this site! You're definitely an asset to this site and one that we would be very unfortunate to lose. Please don't leave the site because of one heated debate. We need the support and advice that you give. Honestly. This is coming from my heart - please don't leave! Crave the Quit!
