And of course your therapist is right. Not only can we not control what is going to happen, but usually when we worry we imagine the worst. That's why it's important to retrain our minds to imagine the BEST and envision success, not failure. Have you been able to read more of the manual yet? :)

Mytherapist says the same thing you do.He says contain the worry most of the ideas you worry about are out of your control anyway. So why worry about them your just wasting time and energy.

If I do not think about my problems it is almost like sweeping them under the carpet don't you think?I noticed when I was Working on my lesson plans for the substitute my anxiety creeped back so I just stepped away from them and thought about something else. Rather then dwell on them. But I feel I am running away from them.

My anxiety started in my classroom.It began this self doubt began. What I need to do is go back with asmile on my faceas If nothing has happened. I do not beleive their is an exit strategy in the classroom. By the way I have been on those California thruways yhey really drive fast.

Being busy is GOOD...it helps to focus on doing *normal* things. If what you do first thing when you wake up causes panic, change how you wake up... do you jump out of bed? Or lay there dreading the day? If you lay there, dreading, then get up, have a shower, find SOMETHING POSITIVE TO ACTIVELY DO... If you jump out of bed, then lay there, practice deep breaths, think about all that you want to accomplish THIS day, THIS next 5 min, half hour, this hour. Then when you plan what it is you're going to do, DO IT...LET NOTHING STOP YOU.....DO IT EVEN IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DO IT.....REMEMBER THAT ANYTHING PHYSICAL HELPS COMBAT THIS THING. GO THROUGH THE MOTIONS OF DOING *********ANYTHING******** THAT FORCES YOU TO FOUCS ON SOMETHING OTHER THAN YOUR PANIC!!!!!!!!!! :)
