Hugs

What is the association with work that keeps you focused on it? I have absolutely no focus on work. It is done and now is now. A part of my life that gave me the money to have what I have now. But it is over, it isn't paying for this any more, it means nothing to me now. And the people that cheated me or treated me bad? That is for their conscience, not mine. Not my concern and I don't care if they don't have a conscience. No one gets to ruin my life by playing in my mind with my help.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Wish I could get rid of these nightmares from work.

The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential... these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.

Trust yourself. Create the kind of self that you will be happy to live with all your life. Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement.

If you have tried to do something and failed, you are vastly better off than if you had tried to do nothing and succeeded. You must never regret what might have been. The past that did not happen is as hidden from us as the future we cannot see.

You can do what you want to do, accomplish what you want to accomplish, attain any reasonable objective you may have in mind - not all of a sudden, perhaps not in one swift and sweeping act of achievement - but you can do it gradually, day by day and play by play, if you want to do it, if you work to do it, over a sufficiently long period of time.

I found out that this "power" might be more than I wished, following a talk with a neighbour about a small project between our houses, which are semi-detached.

I wanted to ask their permission for something, thinking the only objection might be aesthetic, and found there were a lot more concerns.  At first I was overwhelmed with the response, but then, after watching some tv, I felt a little better.

I think I have to be careful about what I wish for, as the saying goes, since I have a lot more potential than I thought.

You can have anything you want if you want it desperately enough. You must want it with an inner exuberance that erupts through the skin and joins the energy that created the world.

Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.
- Denis Waitley
