Quote of the Day:
People don't change their behavior unless it makes a difference for them to do so.
- Fran Tarkenton

That difference is called motivation

Quote of the Day:
The starting point of all achievement is desire. Keep this constantly in mind. Weak desires bring weak results, just as a small amount of fire makes a small amount of heat.
- Napoleon Hill

I believe this energy can also come from each other through our communities since no man is an island or Corsica.

Quote of the Day:
The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent.
- Arnold Schwarzenegger

I think 51% will do it.

Hugs,

I probably have at least one failure every day, but then it is cause I aim too high. Often as not I finish in a day or two what I was aiming at and acumulate a few more failures in their place. Some get fixed some just aren't fixable. Life goes on but I have to admit I do brood over the ones I lose to.

I like this quote.  It is true, whether you like it or not, life goes on anyway, might as well make the best of it and not sit on the sidelines.  Sometimes you need a break to recharge the batteries and that's o.k.  The other quote I like is "Our doubts are traitors which make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt".

Quote of the Day:
Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.
- Denis Waitley

This helps me see failure as part of everyday life, instead of the magnified apocalypse that makes me avoid situations and their potential for transformation.

Quote of the Day:
It is a paradoxical but profoundly true and important principle of life that the most likely way to reach a goal is to be aiming not at that goal itself but at some more ambitious goal beyond it.
- Arnold Toynbee

Our highly rated high school basketball team used to reduce the size of the basketball hoop, so it would take more motor skills precision, etc, to successfully get the ball through a smaller "rim".  No wonder they were so successful.

A wonderful mentor at work, who went on to succeed and author a book, asked me to aim high, and I did well.

I guess when our chins are dragging along the floor, it's hard to see sky and  heavens

I don't always start or end my day well yet, manage most of the time with a positive attitude to salvage most of the day. With me it is physical disability that does me in and that brings up the mental. You know, the "poor me" bit. I'd kick my butt if I could.
But I do go to sleep thinking about all the good things and that I got another day. This was not meant to be on more than one occasion so even a bad day is still one I was not supposed to get. Such a little thing, attitude but such a profound effect on your life.
