summer storms are here

Wow congrats!  That's great that the storm cause you any panic!  I love summer storms, thunder and lightning and the smell of the rain and wet grass.  Being able to enjoy something like that that once scared you is really well done, I hope you can enjoy many more storms without feeling panicky

As for movies my two all time favorites would have to be Princess Bride and Willow.  My fiancee loves movies and could watch a movie or two a day, I like movies too but I haven't seen any really good ones in awhile so I'm turned off watching movies atm.  I'll probably go see the Batman one before it leaves the theater here, keep hearing it's good!

Hi all.  Well on friday morning I woke up to some thunder.  I had to run outside and cover some holes for a project we have on the house, with some tarp/plastic stuff.  I didnt feel scrared.  Ijust ran out and covered them.  Next thing it was pouring, and there was some thunder and lightening.  For the first time in ages, I didnt run anywhere and just stayed in, and made some tea.   It wasnt super severe or anything, but I openend the window to let the smell of the rain in, and I just kept busy.
It felt really good, and I actually felt relaxed as I wasnt panicking, or running to the neighbours.
My husband was even suprised that I didnt run off to the neighbours.  Well just wanted to share that with you all.

I agree with Diva. A lot of the good movies help me clear my mind and I can relate to them.

This is a bit depressing to mention, forgive me, but when I was really blue, I really enjoyed watching movies and shows because it helped me forget about my own life. Once the film ends, I became sad again and realize where I really am... not in the screen! But eventually it made me really appreciate these films because they gave me a lot of inspiration and motivation.. it made me want to follow those dreams they share in the film.

I find watching a good movie that I love makes me feel better. I feel more relaxed when it is done. If it is a funny movie, I find that laughing with is will help me relax. As for sad movie they help you have a good cry and release some tension that way. I guess maybe that is why I am so addicted to movies, they just help me feel better about my day.

Miki, I'm with you on the Sex and the City DVDs! Can't get enough of them!

Members, do you find that putting in your favourite movie can help to calm your nerves or ease your anxieties when you are feeling down?
