Congrats on getting started.

Sounds like you are doing great! Remember, if you have cravings or feel cranky it is only temporary. You can do this. You are doing this!

Hi stacYvonne,
Congratulations on starting your quit journey.  31 years is a long time so it's great to hear that your cravings aren't too bad. And you're right, you need to keep a good mood, it really does help! Distractions are really good at the start of your quit journey too, anything to keep your mind off of smoking for awhile.
Stay strong and welcome to the site!

I quit on Friday the 27th. So 3 days ago.Ive smoked 31 years, since I was 14. The cravings weren't too awful Friday and Saturday but Sunday they really got me. I still haven't smoked but definitely used more gum and lozenges yesterday.(I mostly use the gum but a couple of times a day I'll use a lozenge.) So far today I haven't had too bad of a craving and I even haven't had to use the NRT yet. I have a really busy day ahead of me so I'm hoping that since I'll be so distracted all day I will continue to not have too many strong cravings. Or crankiness. I definitely need to stay in this good mood. ??
