I think it took me about six months before i stopped gaining, too. To date I've lost about eight of the almost 20 gained. My goal is seven more! Good luck to us all! ;) Just say "no" to muffin tops! OK then... I just read it on Diane's post!!! You FINALLY give!!! Well, a Woo Hoo for you!!! Eat! Drink!! BE MERRY!!! Hopefully you've saved up some ciggie money, so go out and buy some temporary bigger clothes for the summer!!! By fall, maybe you'll fit into your fall clothes!!! If not, buy some new fall clothes and maybe by winter you'll fit into your winter cloths!!! :) All we have to worry about right now is that we are NON SMOKERS! And you are doing a helluva job at that!!! Don't sweat the small stuff that you cannot control right now, just enjoy the benefits of being a non smoker!!! WOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!! Oh, and since it's almost tomorrow....a SUPER HUGE CONGRATS for completing 60 whole days as a certified Non Smoker!!! Lalew have I missed your posts? Last time I responded to you was on your thread on Mar 28th and I have wondered what happened to you! I'm happy to see that you are smoke free. Eight pounds and counting down!! Yes, I gained eight pounds in the first 30 some days, but then started going to the gym two weeks ago. Three of those pounds are gone, and my jeans fit again!! (We won't tell that I did go buy two fat pair, I wonder if I can take them back??) Lots of H2O, treadmill is much more user friendly since I am smokeless, no Huff and Puff after 5 minutes!! My addictive personality type is going fitness addict for the time being. Just self talking that it is much better than smoking for my bod...The gym and salads might be a benefit to me in the long haul, where the smokes would make the haul short. Besides, the weather is going to get better one of these days and we can all go back outside and play, which always seems to help melt off the winter fluff, hopefully it will help melt off the non-smoking puff! Hang in there!! I am bound and determined to work this off before I have to resort to that. Got some new pretty things that fit for right now and should still fit even if I gain a small bit more or lose a bit more which is probably what will happen if I keep working for it. Hi everyone. The 4th Ave Street Fair is in town this weekend & I went & got a pair of fat pants & 2 pairs of fat shorts. They are like the clothes from the 60's & 70's that are tie dye & the elastic waist & draw string. I have other pants like that & they are sooo comfortable. I figured I would wear them until later. Whenever that is, just not smoking.
