Junkie Jitters

Penguin,

Please don't give in.  Unfortunately for some of us the craving never goes away.  You have to stand your ground and not give in, no matter what.  You've come so far, don't  give in now...  Only you can make YOUR quit happen, no one else can.

You can do this!!

Leslie

Hi penguin,

Thanks for checking in and updating us. It is not uncommon to experience a "blah week". This is a week marked by frustration, fatigue and just feeling "blah". It is temporary and it will pass but until that time, be kind to yourself! Reward yourself often and do anything and everything that may make you feel better. We are here for you, check in soon.

Was reading through some old posts and I came upon this one...an old one of mine from a previous quit.

I was surprised by a couple of things:
I thought I was presently on my longest quit, but I posted this one at 197 days, which is where I am right now.
I actually have a different job than this one now.  I don't know what it is about 200 days and me with changing jobs,         but I was considering another change just this weekend.  (Just a coincidence I guess.)
There is some great support and advice here and it was just what I was hunting for I guess.  Not that I am considering smoking (I have thought about it), but it has been a stressful weekend and I was feeling tired of fighting (in more ways than one.)  Hubby has been darn grouchy these past few days and I am tired of not getting grouchy too.  Time for bed, me thinks.  Tomorrow is a new day and I will still be smoke free!

No junkie jitters here, just a tired quitter.

I am of course tickled pink with the thought of my new work life ahead, and YES, I am reporting to the mall soon. I have to buy an entire work wardrobe, not just one outfit. I've never had to buy clothes for work before..I always wore a uniform. No guilt at spending here though...I've earned it. Isn't life grand! Judy, you can't see me but I don't look surprised. Of course you got the job!!! I knew a month ago that you would. Let's hear about the rewards now, for the new job AND for not smoking to celebrate the new job. Come on, you know you've sucked at the rewards. This is a time to REALLY REALLY reward yourself. Let's have it, what did you do?
