My quit date

16 years ago 0 447 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
It's 7am and the stupid cat won't let me sleep. Decided to sleep in and then go see my son. I'm going back to bed and start the day in a little while, but had to check my postings. Thanks everyone. Terry

So this is it eh.Down and dirty ,in your face, ash kicking quit smoking day.Getting a little twitchy.Just teasing.Listen to the good people here they'll get you through this they're very supportive.I'm not.I'm a little to blunt for most people's liking but I am on your side. ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 319 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,742 Amount Saved: $3,190.00 Life Gained: Days: 77 Hrs: 14 Mins: 33 Seconds: 57

Terry you were one of my waking thoughts today! I remember when Kelly joined, she had this photo of her with all this hair and her grandchild was also in the photo. Except I thought it was her son because she looks so young! She jumped in here with a lot of fire and energy - and determination. She plowed through that quit. Good for you for preparing last night. Change up your routine today, do things out of order, have tea, brush your teeth after you eat, light smelly good candles, if you get in trouble come here and post and wait for 10 replies while drinking ice cold water and taking dee[ breaths. We are with you and are so excited ;0 Sue My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 275 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,750 Amount Saved: $481.25 Life Gained: Days: 26 Hrs: 19 Mins: 41 Seconds: 47

Yeah Terry! First day of the rest of your life - cliche for sure, but totally true! Be really good to yourself and be flexible if need be, depending on how you feel. Sometimes it does get slower here on the weekends but you can always poke around in the other sections of the site and read older posts - tons of good stuff here. Also, if you do a search on whyquit you'll find a site that might put a more dramatic spin on smoking. Congratulations! Terry, Dear, we are all pulling for you. If there isn't a post when you are hoping for one, don't think it's because nobody cares. it just may be that we are all out doing other things than smoking. I'm not jerking your chain, I am just telling you how it is. I, for one, am very very much hoping that you decide not to smoke today or any other day. But, it is you who makes that decision, minute by minute, hour by hour. I will do anything i can to encourage you, just keep letting us know what is going on in your world, and trust that someone will have something good for you. I am soooo excited about your quit. I'm wondering if you decided to dedicate it to Shane. Wow I just got home and checked in and no one has been on and sent me reinforcing comments. So I just smoked my last cigarrette and when I got home I emptied my car ashtray and my one on the patio and the one in my kitchen and put everything away. I'm ready to tackle this. I have a day planned out to keep busy and am feeling confident. Terry

I'm on for a minute before I take off for the evening and will check back in before I go to bed tonight. I am on the downslide with 3 left tonight and I did not buy anymore. I appreciate, truly appreciate every single one of you, especially my Sister. Hi Kelly and thank you. Tomorrow morning I will be on bright and early too looking for words of encouragement as I go into my morning. Terry

I don't want to apply pressure but I do want to make sure you know that I am here for you too. I haven't been posting but I have been reading. As you can see, there are a lot of really special people here with a ton of really wise advice. You can do it tomorrow just as well as you can do it any other day. Just tell yourself you can smoke next weekend if you still want to that bad. You won't want to. I won't be that bad. You are going to surprise yourself and how "not that bad" it really is. ;) {{{{hugs}}}} :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 160 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,800 Amount Saved: $936.00 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 12 Mins: 26 Seconds: 42
