Yup It Sucks

I am glad you get to sleep during your fist day. I didn't get to with mine. I am only on day six but that first day was really bad. On top of that everyone was getting on my nerves and my troops were out of control. The only other problem I have had so far was the sleeplessness and detox. I was going to the bathroom almost every hour by the third day and couldn't sleep a wink. Last night was the first time I have slept all the way through the night. On my first day, I didn't believe it would get better but it does. Wazz, Do what you need to do to get the nicotine out of your body. The firt few days you will be going through withdrawals so all the better if you can sleep through them. Give us an update. Brenna Bilingual Health Educator

Good for you Wazz take it one minute at a time and before you know it the minutes turn into hours and the hours into days. You are doing great keep it up. Wazz, I think it shows how much nicotine jacks up our bodies - aren't you glad you are getting it out? Just keeping putting a few more hours behind you and this will eventually end. It will get better. Sleep cures much :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/5/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1186 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 23,720 Amount Saved: $5,337.00 Life Gained: Days: 90 Hrs: 13 Mins: 16 Seconds: 27

Hi Wazz, yup, that's exactly what Day 1 feels like. I'm going to try to find a post that I wrote a long time ago called "Coping with Day 1."
