Darn right you can, just like me! Today is my first day. It was okay, not terrible, not great. I have battled about 4 cravings thus far, but everyone is right, use the coping techniques and it passes. Good luck!

Dream, You CAN do it and I'm guessing that you really WANT to do this! Just don't smoke the next cigarette and repeat. That's how you'll get there, one cigarette at a time, one day at a time. That's how we did it and we're all made of the same stuff ;) Let us know how you are doing either way. So, why do you want to quit? Dream, Of course you can! Many here have and you will to! It's normal to feel a little anxious at the thought of a big life change such as this. We encourage you to work through the tools of the program, prepare well and call on us for additional reinforcement. Remember, you do not have to do this alone. We're here and we're cheering you on! The cold feet is from prior smoking cutting off your circulation... ;) If you think you can, you will...it's all you and how positive and determined you are. If you think positive, act smart and plan your rewards and learn about you and your cravings I think you'll do it! And hold yourself a believe there will come better days than those you are going through now! I only have 2 months without smoking but I almost don't have any cravings now! :) and that feels GREAT! :) Some days or some times there are those small thoughts of smoking but it's just a though and then I remember I'm free now and I don't want to smoke and go through those first days again! So build your mileage a step at a step and you'll see it gets better and easier over time! :) Good luck and keep posting! I found out that it does help a lot to be in touch with others that are going through the same or went through the same process and understand you like no other! :) AND they do havy wonderful tips! :) All these guys helped me a lot in difficult times and in my first challenges! I'm so thankfull!... :) :) We're in here always remember that! GOOD LUCK and be strong and confident! :) Kisses, Cat My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 67 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,340 Amount Saved: 201.00 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 21 Mins: 36 Seconds: 12

Yes, dream, you can do this. Believe that you can, & be positive about it. Know that you will probably have some difficult times at the start and also know that it is SO worth it. Yes you can do this. Kelley gave you very good advice. Follow it. You can stay smoke free as long as you don't smoke. Wake up every morning and tell yourself "I can do this, just for today I will not smoke." and do this every day. Walk tall and be proud.
