Hi Boldinaz,
That is normal, your lungs needs to get clean and that is why some people cough the first few weeks. For now, don't worry and if it lasts longer than a month go see a doctor.
Hugs from Holland :)

Hi Boldinaz,
I felt the exact same way. I had this tightness feeling in my chest at it was very bodersome. I was very worried with my condition...i started to think i was having a heart attack. I even remember saying that i felt better when i was smoking :). I'm looking at your stats and i can say that it's was around the same time as you that i felt that tightness.
I had it for a few days...then it left...then it came back again...
I did'nt go see a dorctor but i talked to a nurse and she said that it could be some thorax spasmes. Muscles around your thorax tightning when your going threw stressful times ( maybe the anxiety of quitting smoking).
So i just tried to relax more... Take good deep breath.
I don't have that feeling of thightness anymore. If i remember right, that feeling stopped for about 2 weeks now (i'm on my 6 week now.)
I don't think it's something to worry about...but if you want to be sure you can always go visite your doctor.

Hi Boldinaz, i coughed for the first 17 days, hard, i think its a way of our body getting rid of tozins and junk, but if if is really bothersome to you, maybe you should see a doctor. Our bodies do so many crazy things in the quit, its hard to know what normal and whats not :) good you are quitting at a young age :) Keep up the good quit Tresa :)
