Thanks! You guys are all so awesome! Believe me, I know the benefits of quitting. I have been smoking full time since I was 13 years old. I already had a cough going. It's been hard, my friends smoke and my family smokes. I never had to hide it from anyone. My son started asking me questions (he is 4) and my finace has asthma, it was just better that I quit. I did LOVE to smoke, though. I am still going strong! Thanks everyone for all of the support! Trish, congratulations on your first smoke free week. And, i want to bring up how incredibly thankful you are going to be for quitting while you are young. I see all sorts of young people in my community smoking away..they do not think of the consequences. By quitting now, you are avoiding a LIFE LONG addiction, you are avoiding that horrible smokers cough that every smoker eventually develops, you are avoiding high blood pressure medication, respiratory problems, grey skin, wrinkles around your mouth, bad breath, lack of energy. Don't forget that is what is in store for all your young friends that smoke. You are wise to quit now. You can do it. Trish, I'm so relieved for you. Keep going one day at a time and watch your stats grow. Set little goals...like you want to see your stats be 10 days...then you can't wait for two weeks. Also...don't forget those rewards. they are very important. Your doing great Mercy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 180 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,600 Amount Saved: $804.60 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 16 Mins: 50 Seconds: 52
