first non-smoking day at work

Hi Francis Hang in there! You can do this. We'll be strong with you. My boss smokes in the bathroom here at the office and drives me crazy. Rambler, I know how you feel, at times I can't stay here too long either. Seeing a stranger smoke bothers me, but seeing my friends smoke doesn't, go figure. But I look at this way, some days are bad, some are not. I just go with the flow. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 33 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 839 Amount Saved: $165 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 13 Mins: 19 Seconds: 32

Frances - I can understand how you are feeling. You are on Day #3 - notoriusly a tough one. Just keep hanging in there - it's really hard, buy you CAN do it. Someone once posted - I'd rather be a quitter occassionally having cravings than a smoker always thinking about quitting. Someone else said - You experience more cravings as a smoker (within 20 minutes of each cigarette you start craving another one) than as a quitter. You might not feel this way now - but you really are doing very well. You've already got 2 days under your belt! We're all here for you! Frances, Where is your crave basket? Put one on your desk and use it! You can do this and we can help :) Josie ____________________ The SSC Support Team.

You know, I went to the no smoking classes a few years ago and they drove me nuts. Any discussion, pictures, or speeches about smoking made me want to smoke. When I first started coming here, this forum had the same effect. I could only read this column for a short time and would have to move on because I wanted a smoke. I have never seen this discussed here. Doesn't reading about smoking affect you folks? I am over it now but it lasted a long time. Cigarettes Not Smoked

17 years ago 0 9 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Ughhhhhhhhhhh!!! The cravings are definitely worse here. Someone put a no-smoker sticker up by my desk (drawing of a cigarette with a line through it)and I had to rip it down because the cartoon cigarette was making me want to smoke! I will make it through this day, I will make it through this day, I will make it through this day.
