Had to do it

We need to look at this website like it's homework. This gives us strength and inspiration to keep going. Reading what everyone says helps us to remember what it is we're fighting for. Maxie, Make the small slip work for the good. Just like you said..."Why did I do that?" Now you know it wasn't all you expected it to be. So.... the next time you will not have such a trigger. Good for you Maxie! Now, don't ever use the expression "I had to do it" again!!! You don't HAVE to do anything!!! Oh, except that I insist that you have to keep posting here. ;p Glad to have you here and glad to have you building up that Quit Meter - it's looking good my friend! Great Going Maxie. I knew you'd be back on track in no time. Just holler if you need to talk. You're doing a great job. You can't just write off 35 smoke free days because you took maybe three puffs. Let's see that meter, okay? Maxie, Jump back on the wagon with us, okay? Don't beat yourself up. Just get up, dust yourself off, and keep on with your quit. You're right in the 30 Day stage of your quit and there is often a bump in the road when you hit that stage. I know you've read posts about the 30-60-90 Day slumps. Right? Think about that and get on with your quit. You smoked half of a butt. That's a slip and you can get passed that easy enough. Let us know how we can help? Right now, being in that 30 Day Stage, pull out all of your coping skills that you used at the very beginning of your quit. Then look to see if there was something else that triggered the slip. You CAN do this. I know you feel bad but let's get on with it. Okay? Hugs and Hang In There, Tutti My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/18/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 64 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,880 Amount Saved: $229.76 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 18 Mins: 43 Seconds: 51

Couldn't stand it any longer. Asked a friend last night if I could bum. He was intoxicated so I didn't think he'd remember. But he looked at me and said, "No, please don't make me do that." So I didn't making it through the night. Today at my sister's, baby asleep, all by myself, ahalf smoked butt in an ashtray.....you can guess? And then I said to myself.....why did I want THAT so bad for?
