There may not be a 'switch' to turn on for a positve attitude, but there are ways to change your mood from a bad one to a good one...by looking at photos of your loved ones, listening to your favorite music, deep breathing exercises to calm you, a really great joke. You know it it's possible, thats where the saying "That made my day" comes from! Having quit so many times, I can say from experience that trying to make it positive does help, this time I consciously made the effort to be more positive and I have made it my final quit! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 333 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,325 Amount Saved: $3,513.15 Life Gained: Days: 43 Hrs: 17 Mins: 30 Seconds: 58

I believe that the POSITIVE is always the way to go. I remember in my quit that when I was positive, the quit went much smoother. When I was feeling negative it seemed much harder to fight the nicodemon. So lets all try and be positive and the oldies can help the newbies to do this. My shoulders are awfully big and always have been, I'll try and help anyone that needs it. I honestly don't think that complaining about complaining posts is very possitive at all - especially in a thread that seemed to upset some folks enough to have to be edited? I'm of the opinion that everyone is different and every quit is different, and some people just need more shoulders than others, and isn't that we long time quitters are here for? To offer up our shoulders? I just hope that threads like this don't discourage anyone from coming here for help when they need it - that's all.
