I enjoyed all the answers on this. I was at the top end of my usual "acceptable" weight when I quit smoking, and have actually gained under 5 pounds (last time I checked), but I feel huge! Part of it is probably because I was on the heavy side of what I consider normal, and the little bit of extra, puts me into the category of buying larger clothes. ARGH! I've always been slim, and haven't had to work at it. I went on a couple of major eating binges, and was basically obsessed with food for awhile, but it took my mind off smoking. I rarely think about smoking, but I think about what I'm going to eat and when I'm going to eat it. It's getting on my nerves. All this cold, ugly, wet weather, has made it 100 times worse because I can't get outside for a nice long walk. Looks like I'm going to have to get more committed to the gym or stop whining! I'm like Windy... I don't want to give up chocolate, or my one pepsi a day. Maybe I will eventually, but not yet!
Windy, I laughed at your lipsuction comment... I was wondering why they couldn't just cut the tire off around my mid-section! lol I also don't think mine is all due to quitting smoking... I think I've finally reached that point (the dreaded M word) in my life where the weight is not going to be as easy as it once was.
