New hobbies?

Thanks for boosting this up, Aloha...I'm hoping Gonna has finally gotten up off the couch..LOL. I'm thinking she's probably tired from chasing all those criminal-types! I'm not a hobby-type, but when I'm not working, I'm going to school to get my master's...I never would have done that when I was a smoker. I haven't got new hobbies, just picking up on some old ones I forgot I enjoyed cos I was too busy smoking and watching TV. I'm actually getting ready to go out shopping on a Saturday, which for me is a massive big deal as I never used to go anywhere on the weekends - too exhausted. Isn't having energy great?! Oh isn't that nice Freebird?? I've noticed that too! While playing games with my boy I'm not pausing.."I'll be right back hon." Greatest feeling in the world...not putting off your children to pollute yourself. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 9 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 188 Amount Saved: $81 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 16 Mins: 5 Seconds: 25

gonnadoit, for the first few days i had tons of energy and was ready to plow through whatever...also moments of crappy-ness-ness, food likes/dislikes, blah blah blah. Now I find I'm tired a lot of the time and in need of naps. It'll pass just like the rest of the good, bad and ugly stuff has. One moment at a time. trace My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 8 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 178 Amount Saved: $72 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 15 Mins: 14 Seconds: 29

Just curious what others have found to be new interests or hobbies? I've been doing a lot of fishing, baking and have realized I'm a master crafter with lego's. lol I've noticed too that foods I thought I liked, I really don't (and some stuff tastes COMPLETELY different...go figure. :)trace northern canada My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 7 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 140 Amount Saved: $63 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 12 Mins: 0 Seconds: 53

Congratulation your first week has been put it. Reward yourself for a job well-done, you deserve it. For new found hobbies, I have started reading a lot more than I used to. Enjoying the outdoors a lot more, the fresh air. Since I no longer smoke, I'm on a health kick. I'm going to buy a book called Good Mood Diet. I never liked cooking that much, but it sounds fun to try some new things. While that isn't necessarily a hobby, I'm looking forward to trying something new, and eating better all at the same time. My new hobby is pilates. I have to do something otherwise these Dove dark chocolates will do me in! :p I've noticed the difference in the taste of food, too. Some foods I used to love taste kind of icky now. I have more energy, but I can also easily sleep for 10 hours or more if I don't make myself get up. Maybe I could turn that into a hobby? ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/23/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 22 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 918 Amount Saved: $107.14 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 7 Mins: 6 Seconds: 25

I'm not sure if you could classify any of my new activities as hobbies but now I go to the gym at least 5 times per week...I love a hot bath at the end of the night with a fruit smoothie....and I love to go to bed early with my remote control. They aren't hobbies but they aren't things that I ever did before I quit....
