Hi redneck I am sorry to hear about your medical issues but you have made one of the best decisions you can right now. I have had 3 family members suffer from the same thing and can sympathize with you. Know that this site is full of support and great people. I would be more than willing to talk you through rough times, now is the time to take charge of your life and and take back the control we all lost when we lit that first cigarette. Your not alone in this and hang in there. Good luck..... Hi redneck metro :) Welcome to the Stop Smoking Center forum. There are a lot of friendly folks here who are quitting too and know just what you are going through. It helps to share the hard times as well as the good. Please read and post here to help yourself and others too. The Program Tools on the left side of the page can help you get ready to quit. Why not give them a try? Best wishes on your quitting and I'll be looking forward to seeing more of your posts as time goes by. Redneck metro, Welcome to the SSC and congratulations on deciding to quit! You've received some great advice from your fellow quitters. Our program tools and forums are great learning ressource. What makes you go back to smoking? Look back on past attempts and determine what contributing factors and thoughts finally convinced you to go back. You'll need to take these factors into consideration when putting together your quit plan. Also be sure to start thinking about what type of reward system you'll have throughout your quit. In general, most reward systems have three components: a small reward for after each craving, a medium reward for the end of each smoke-free day and a bigger reward for the end of each smoke-free week. We hope to hear from you again soon. Danielle _________________________ The SSC Support Team

Hey Redneck (my hubby is one lol). Glad you made the choice to quit. That was the first big step. Go to the left of this and do the quit tools on the left hand side. They will walk you through some thing that will help you become successful and quitting. Come here often because you will always find someone here to help you through cravings. There will be ups and downs but with SSC you can do this!!
