Still not doing very well. Thanks to all of your for your responses. Just taking it as it comes. Not sure what will happen. I don't want to disappoint any of you. How did you become so important to me? If it were not for you I would have a pack bought by now. I keep thinking about a post "When you are smoking you are thinking about quitting and when you quit you are thinking about smoking." That is about it in a nut shell. Great advice Butterfly Swimmer, That is what my quit buddie here ask of me beforehand and believe me, it does help. I've had to call someone and if she hadn't been there for me, I wouldn't be here right now but would be in my backyard smoking. It was Halloween night and she STILL took the time to comfort me and help chase the nicodemon away. Sparky, You can do this if you want this more than smoking. It can be done. Get yourself together and just ask for help. We are all here to walk with you on this journey. Its not fun alone and none of us walk this alone. So please reach out!! Sparky - it's real hard to hang on sometimes - no matter what anyone says, you just don't want to hear it. You think it does not matter. Well, the feeling you're having will leave. IT WILL PASS and you will not feel lost at all, come here and read and crush the need for nicotine. If you smoked, you would feel horrible (physically) and mentally you would feel like you really lost out. You have 18 days to be so proud of! You can count on yourself to wait out the bad times where you want to smoke and knowing you have the support of so many throwing prayers upstairs for you right and left will help too! I'm sure you felt the love and concern of all these folks replying to you here.... Today will be a better day, take care of yourself! Don't do it. I may not be very far in my current quit, but from experience I can tell you...Once you quit for any amount of time you will never get rid of the quit bug. You will live in a kind of relapse HELL! You will always be wanting to quit and hating yourself for smoking. Not a very relaxing way to live. Believe me. Just continue staying quit. It may not seem like it now, but it is the easiet and kindest thing you can do for yourself. Tennielle

Hi Sparky. I want to share something with you. On day 14 of my quit, I wanted to quit my job and just go have one cigarette. Just one. I wanted it more than my job, more than my kids, more than my house or anything else. I just wanted to smoke one stupid cigarette. I came here just as you have. I too promised not to give up. That was a hard promise to make but I knew that if I broke that promise, I not only hurt myself but also the person that took so much time holding my hand getting me through the tough times. Would you like to know what kept me quit through all the times I felt like giving up? I'll tell you. All the people here on this site. Never, ever in my life had I met such caring, kind people. I have been quit for over 16 months now. I still talk to most of those people that helped me in those early days. My point is, you can get through this. Others will help. When you feel you can't go on, just take one more step. Hold on for just five more minutes. Tell yourself that every day is one day closer to never feeling this way again. If it wasn't worth it, do you really think we would still be here now? N.O.P.E. I hope you feel better. Sparky, even though the title is "Please no celebration..." I am celebrating for you because you have finished today. We wont worry about tomorrow right now...we will smile and be thankful for today. You know the answer, Sparky...one day at a time, and you know that when you cant face one day, you face one hour, and you know that when you cant face one hour, you face one minute. I know for a fact that you can do this. I also know how hard it is. But a woman who has done all that you have done...can do this, too. It IS easier to smoke, just like you said. But are you going to take the easy road for short-term comfort? Of course not. Sparky, we are all with you as you can see. Hang in there, please.
